Insomniac Games has just unveiled an electrifying update: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the next chapter in the riveting Spider-Man saga, will hit PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. Following the footsteps of the highly praised predecessors—Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020)—this newest addition is expected to set to expand the virtual New York we first saw in the previous game.

Developed from the ground up for the Play Station 5, this sequel will harness the full power of the next-gen console. And with no PS4 release holding the development back expect much better visuals enabling blistering-fast web-slinging action, immersive 3D audio, and lightning-quick character switching. Insomniac Games have thoroughly established its mettle in this genre and is leaving no stone unturned to offer gamers an even better Spiderman game which we first saw in 2018.

The game will spotlight not just one, but two Spider-Men—Peter Parker and Miles Morales. And it will bring back the awesome web swinging and cinematic boss bottles taking place through the bustling streets of New York, where it is kind of hard to see right now because of the smog from Canada. And each Spiderman has his exclusive story arcs and missions in New York’s iconic boroughs—Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn.

The cover art for the upcoming game highlights both Peter and Miles as the main characters. The arm of each protagonist showcases their unique powers: Peter is seen with symbiote abilities, while Miles displays advanced bioelectric Venom powers.

Along with the release date, Insomniac has detailed multiple editions of the game—Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition, with pre-orders starting June 16, 2023.
